Talent Management About Us Welcome to the University of the District of Columbia Office of Talent Management at UDC is a service organization. Our range of services is based on the employment cycle. From pre-employment to retirement and everything in between, our role is to ensure the success of the University and all employees by providing services related to employment, training and development, employee relations, compensation, and benefits. Our Mission The Office of Talent Management recruits, develops, and retains a diverse workforce, and promotes a student-centered learning environment to facilitate the accomplishment of the University’s mission and strategic goals. We act as a catalyst for both the D. C. government and the University community by managing personnel policies, programs, and processes.

RISK MANAGEMENT • The primary goal of Risk Management is to provide an optimally safe and healthy environment while reducing and mitigating the potential for loss to the University. • Responsible for matters involving environmental health and safety, professional and general liability insurance, and worker’s compensation.
Office of Public Safety/Police We operate 24/7/365 at the Van Ness Campus. We staff 4 locations. We have arrest powers at UDC. We offer escorts, jumpstarts, and lockout services. We produce IDs and offer crime prevention presentations. We operate/monitor video cameras, access control, and alarm systems at UDC. We assist in setting up security technology. You can even live chat with safety officials. • Quickly access important phone numbers, emergency information, and a safety map. • Receive important campus safety notifications and alerts. • Use location tracking with safety officials in an emergency • Use a "virtual escort" feature with your friends and family to get from place to place safely.
