ASCENSION OF JESUS CHRIST (ERGETE KIRSTOS) 40 days after His resurrection (Easter), Jesus Christ took the disciples to a mountain. Then, He told them few things: “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Go and make disciples of all the nations, teaching them to observe all things that I have taught you Baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (Ab-Wold-Menfes Qidus). He told them to stay in Jerusalem until they receive power from above (the Holy Spirit). I am with you always, even to the end of the age. ”

ASCENSION OF JESUS CHRIST He lifted His hands and blessed them. While they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.

ASCENSION OF JESUS CHRIST Ø While they were looking up, two men stood by them in white clothes and asked “why do you stand looking up into heaven? This same Jesus who was taken up from you into heaven will come in similar way” Ø The disciples worshiped Him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy
