Classroom Expectations Our class follows the tribes agreements to create a safe learning environment: Attentive Listening Mutual Respect Participation Appreciations *see anchor charts around the room

Water Bottles Please have students bring a refillable water bottle to school everyday. This will reduce class time lost when going for water drinks. Students are to fill their bottle during snack and lunch times.

Agenda Please check your child’s agenda for the homework of the day and notes from the teacher. I will write notes in the “Teacher/Parent Communication” section at the beginning of each month. (This is where I check every morning for notes from parents) The daily section is for students to write down homework Signing your child’s agenda each day helps me know that parents are aware of their child’s homework and upcoming dates

Google Docs (google. yrdsb. ca) Username/password same as school password All documents/files can be shared with me No need to use a USB to transfer files to and from school Student’s cant say they left it at home or it’s lost I can give immediate feedback

Math We will be starting off with Number Sense and Numeration Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division Please have your child practice their multiplication table as this will help them succeed in homework and tests

Homework will usually be work that was not finished in class Meant to be practice of concepts learned If students are not able to finish homework due to extra curricular activities, please make a note in your child’s agenda Return Math books each day
