URI Coastal & Environmental Fellowships MENTOR PLANNING SHEET If you are interested in mentoring a Coastal Fellow during the 2013 calendar year please complete the information below and return it by Friday, February 8, 2013. Your planning sheets will be used to create an online viewbook of opportunties for student applicants to look through. Students will sit down for an initial interview with me before I make recommendations regarding suitable fellowship/fellow matches. 4. 2013 URI Coastal Fellowship summer stipends will be paid for 14 weeks from May 20 – August 23, 2013. Coastal fellows are paid at a rate of $9. 50/hour and work 20 -40 hours per week. A student who works 20 hours per week for the full 14 weeks will work a total of 280 hours and earn $2, 660. 00 salary and a FICA benefit of $203. 49 (salary x 0. 0765). Non-URI mentors may wish to make other payroll arrangements.
