Ford Foundation International Fellowships Program The Ford Foundation International Fellowships Program (IFP) in Thailand administered by the Asian Scholarship Foundation (ASF)

Collaborative Activities with CEEVN l Sharing of experiences and good practices (process and procedures used in implementing IFP-Vietnam) l Sharing of technical expertise, materials and information to assist in launching IFP-Thailand

Eligibility Requirements for 2003 Application l Must be Thai citizens/residents from NE or members of ethnic minority of NE l Be currently residing and working in the 19 provinces of NE l Hold a Bachelor’s degree from a college/university in NE l Have two years of full-time or voluntary work experience in community service or development-related activities
Eligibility Requirements for 2003 Application (continued) l Propose a post-graduate degree enhancing their capacity in specific field corresponding to one or more of Ford Foundation’s priority areas l Present action plan applying their studies to social problems/issues l Commit to work on these issues after fellowship period
Activities Conducted by IFP-Thailand To Date l Press release sent to 25 newspapers (Thai and English), interview and announcement made on Radio. Thailand (English) and in 126 local radio stations (in Thai) in NE (1 st week of Jan. 2003) l Visited prominent Thai universities in Bangkok and Chiang Mai (2 nd week of Jan. 2003)
