What is Scouting? • It is a worldwide youth movement whose purpose is to contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, mental, social, intellectual and spiritual potentials as law-abiding citizens of their country and as members of their local, national and international communities.

SCOUTING PROGRAM The Scouting program is part of the curriculum. It aims to hone students in their gradual formation to become responsible citizens dedicated to the service of God, the country and the whole world.

BSP OUTFIT 400 AS AN ORGANIZATION • The BSP or Kapatirang Scout ng Pilipinas in Filipino, is the National Scout Association for boys and young men of the Philippines. • The UST-BSP or Unibersidad ng Santo Tomas Kapatirang Scout ng Pilipinas in Filipino, is the Scout Association for the students of UST High School.

BSP OUTFIT 400 AS AN ORGANIZATION Its activities are centered on: 1. Service to others; 2. Environmental Awareness; 3. Life in the Outdoors

BSP Mission and Vision Mission: • To inculcate in our Scouts and Scouters love of God, country and fellowmen; • To prepare the youth for responsible leadership; and • To contribute to nation-building according to the ideals, principles and program of Scouting.

BSP Mission and Vision: • To be the leading provider of progressive outdoor-based non-formal education committed to develop morally straight, disciplined, concerned, self-reliant citizens in the best tradition of World Scouting.

BSP Outfit 400’s Objectives Its objectives are: 1. Inculcate in the students the love of God, country and others; 2. Train and develop the students in survival and outdoor skills; and 3. Develop in the students the respect and discipline for others.
