Introduction – What is it? Looking for a way to engage your foreign language students? Duolingo allows users to learn and practice speaking, listening, and translating. It has 68 courses in over 23 different languages. Structured as a gamified skill tree, users progress through lessons to develop skills.
Hardware/Software – What do you need? Since this is an internet-based program, access to the internet or a mobile data plan is required. Duolingo can be accessed on their website or by downloading their app (available for i. OS, Android, and Windows devices. )
Benefits – How can it enhance your teaching? Duolingo’s potential benefits include increased student engagement, the ability to measure student progress, and student-driven learning. It may be used in classrooms with the basic program or with Duolingo for Schools. It could be used as a supplemental study tool for students, as well.
Process – How do you make it happen? Go to duolingo. com or download the app. There, you can create a new account or log on through your Google or Facebook account.
