The Lord’s Prayer When the disciples saw Jesus praying, they also wanted the close connection Jesus had with God. So they asked Jesus to teach them how to pray. So Jesus taught them the “Our Father” prayer. It tells us the right attitude to have towards God. 1. Why is the Our Father prayer an important prayer to know? Look at one or two of the lines, and see what you can find. 1 a. We are praying to the man who started the human race, who has died and is in heaven. 1 b. We pray to God, who is a Father to us, because He made us who we are & cares for us. 2 a. God lives in heaven, which is also our true, eternal home. 2 b.
