“ I have chosen this topic as my example of injustice as it is a very important mark in our history in which we can learn from and apply to aspects in our world issues even in modern times. This era was truly the epitome of injustice and is a time which should be addressed and acknowledged. 2

The Beginning of the Loss of Millions It all started with an ethnocentric belief.

A Principle of Injustice The horrifying tale of the holocaust began with the belief

A Principle of Injustice The horrifying tale of the holocaust began with the belief of few in which their race was superior. The people of Germany who held this ideal united to create the political party called the Nazi, which would soon rule over the government leading to a massive genocide, holding a discriminative principle as their integral purpose. The Nazi targeted numerous groups of people including homosexuals, individuals with disabilities, Gypsies, Poles, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Soviet prisoners of war, and largely, the Jews. 4

A Principle of Injustice The concept of anti-semitism or prejudice against Jews, has been in action for countless of decades and even a few millennials as it is also mentioned in Bible passages. Unfortunately, this hostility against Jews can still be seen in modern time. The years of World War 2, which began from 1939 and ended in 1945, has been the most impactful era that targeted Jews and held anti-semitism in its centre. 5

The Catholic Church’s Point of View and Actions Towards the Holocaust Have we always loved our brothers and sisters as He have loved us. . .

A Catholic Point of View In the years of 1939 until 1945 in which World War 2 took place in, the majority of the Church community did not challenge the injustice of the German government against Jews. The pope at that time only saw saving Christians as his mission, therefore, he only saved a few thousands of Jews who were baptised as he saw them as Christian due to their baptismal act. However, many priests and members of the Church took on the responsibility of saving Jews and smuggling them into safe areas. Fortunately, the Church community now sees the anti - semitism as a turn against God an injustice. They now understand their mission of living one another does not only apply to those who hold the same religion as us but all individuals who are the children of God, our brothers and sisters, this means every person no matter what our difference 7

The Solution to Anti -Semitism How can we avoid prejudice and instead respond to

The Solution to Anti -Semitism How can we avoid prejudice and instead respond to each other with love and compassion. . .

Our Solution to End Anti - Semitism The solution which has been taking place

Our Solution to End Anti - Semitism The solution which has been taking place for countless of years since World War 2 is spreading awareness of the injustice of anti - semitism and educating children on the concept. I personally believe that this solution is currently the best. As more and more awareness spreads on anti semitism more people will be confident to address the issue and gain knowledge on its negative effects, immoral and inhumane principles. People who aren’t well educated on this topic are the most unaware on the terrible aspects of it. 9

The Future of Anti - Semitism Although diminishing anti - semitism in our world

The Future of Anti - Semitism Although diminishing anti - semitism in our world is not an easy feat, it is certainly not one that is impossible. I believe that as we regulate the spreading of awareness of the injustice of the holocaust, future generations can be educated and see this injustice as an event that should be avoided and looked down upon. With every generation further, we can lessen actions which hold prejudice against Jews as its integral purpose and more so recognize we should rise above discrimination. 10
