Jesus’ agony Jesus knew that he had to die in order to save people. Only Jesus, as God’s perfect Son, could do this However, it was still a terrifying experience, as Jesus would be taking the punishment for the sins of all mankind.

Read over Matthew 26: 57 -27: 66 and around the cross explain in your own words all the things that happened to Jesus. 2) Stick in the picture of Jesus and the crucifixion. Next to it, write down what you think the artist was trying to show in the picture (think about the colours, mood etc)
