Upgraded the tool • TOACheating. Track now also gives – z track length for • FGD 1 & FGD 2 • TPC 1, TPC 2 & TPC 3 2

Upgraded the tool • Z track length will be used for event selection •

Upgraded the tool • Z track length will be used for event selection • Had to change the MC – before all TPC entrance points from FGD were saved – now all TPC and FGD intersection points are saved 3

Cheating Event Selector • TCheating. Event. Selector decides the type of the current event

Cheating Event Selector • TCheating. Event. Selector decides the type of the current event • It is using TOACheating. Track • And is cheating in many other ways. . . 4

Cheating Event Selector • TCheating. Event. Selector has a – CCQESelector() • Reject if

Cheating Event Selector • TCheating. Event. Selector has a – CCQESelector() • Reject if MC contains a π0 – assume Ecal can see gamma clusters • Reject if a π+ enters TPC from FGD with energy < 1 Ge. V – assume TPC manage to separate the π+ and proton • Reject if more than 1 negative track enters TPC from FGD – shows π- existence • Reject with 80% efficiency if a π+ stops inside FGD – assume TPC detects Michel electron with 80% efficiency • Reject if the µ and proton are not back to back – µ momentum given at TPC entrance point by TOACheating. Track – proton momentum given at TPC entrance point by TOACheating. Track or given by MC if its z length within FGD is more than 5 cm – “back to back” means at least ± 160º • Reject if the µ and proton momentum cannot be found – this is where most of the wrongly rejected events happens – CC 1 Pi. Selector() (future work) –. . . and all other selectors (future work) 5

Cheating Event Selector • 5000 events: neut 003. out. peter_chris. root • Select CCQE events with TCheating. Event. Selector • For selected events use reconstructed Eν • For MC use MC Eν Nbr Correctly Selected CCQE = 220 Nbr Wrongly Selected CCQE = 26 Nbr Correctly Rejected CCQE = 3184 Nbr Wrongly Rejected CCQE = 1547 6

Conclusions and Future Work Short TOACheating. Track Term • Use it for short term

Conclusions and Future Work Short TOACheating. Track Term • Use it for short term analysis TCheating. Event. Selector Longer Term TND 280 Helix • Debug CCQESelector() • Implement other selectors In my fate “work” – like CC 1 Pi. Selector() • A helix to be used for tracking TOATrack. Helix • Defines a helix from a track RECPACK • Checked out but compilation errors More info In my fate “work” • More info here: Beeing debugged In my fate repository on neut /home/chansen/my.
