SNMP Features You can retrieve MIB2 and private
SNMP • Features – You can retrieve MIB-2 and private MIB objects to use software such as SNMP manager software. ( In the case of reading private MIB , MIB definition file is required separately ) For obtaining this file, please contact your local Sony Sales Office. – The information you can get through SNMP -The cold. Start trap The authentication failure trap -The sensor input status trap -The object (moving object/unattended object) Detection result trap -The encoder error trap. • Benefit – IT manager can treat IP camera with SNMP same as other network devices through a SNMP manager software. Consequently the system management costs will be reduced. • CGI command / Syntax 1. Setting Command (See page 2 for details. ) 2. Inquiry Command (See page 5 for details. ) • Notes – To use this function, perform its related settings with the CGI command. Note that this setting option is not provided with the setting menu of a camera. – SNMP setup is enabled by using HTTP protocol (CGI) (SNMP protocol cannot be used). Also, community setting with WRITE authority is not enabled by using SNMP protocol. • Applicable models CS 50 * DF 50 CS 11 DF 80 RX 530 RX 550 * RX 570 RZ 50* P 1 P 5 DF 40 DF 70 * Applicable version: 2. 0 or later November, 2007/ Ver. 0. 9 1 RZ 25 CS 3 RZ 30 Z 20 1
CGI Command/Syntax 1. Setting Command Method Description (1) Basic Setting Basic setting for the use of SNMP function (2) Getting Sensor Input status Setting for getting the status of the sensor input 1 / 2 by Trap method or Polling method like “Get. Request” (3) Getting Object (moving object/ unattended object) Detection result Setting for getting the result of Object detection by Trap method or Polling method like “Get. Request” (4) Getting the current operating status of camera codec Setting for getting the current operating status of camera codec by Trap method or Polling method like “Get. Request”. The camera codec will detect an error only when the signal from the camera block is out of sync or the encoder itself stops. (1)Basic Setting CGI Parameter Value Snmp. Version v 1, or v 2 c Sets the SNMP version you want to use. sys. Location <text> Sets the instance of “mib-2. system. sys. Location. 0”. sys. Contact <text> Sets the instance of “mib-2. system. sys. Contact. 0”. sys. Name <text> Sets the instance of “mib-2. system. sys. Name. 0”. 1 Generates trap when Authentication failure occurs. 2 Does not generate trap when Authentication failure occurs. on Utilizes an alarm information with SNMP, such as object detection, or sensor input. off Does not utilize an alarm information with SNMP. Notes: When “Snmp. Alm. Func” is set to “off”: -Alarm trap such as object detection or sensor input is not generated if it is set. -If “Get. Request” is sent, disable(4) is returned. -The performance of codec may be reduced while object detection is activated. When the higher performance of codec is required with the use of SNMP, set “Snmp. Alm. Func” to “off”. ena. Auth. Traps snmpdconf. cgi Snmp. Alm. Func November, 2007/ Ver. 0. 9 Description 2 2
CGI Command/Syntax CGI Parameter Value <ID>, r, <community>, <ip_addr> community Sets the community used for SNMP access. Specify the ID number(1 to 8), access authority (read only), community name and IP address. (Up to eight communities are settable. ) Notes: When allowing an arbitrary host to be entered, specify “ 0. 0” as IP address. When one or more communities are set, SNMP will restart automatically. If you don’t want to activate SNMP, delete all the preconfigured communities. snmpdconf. cgi <ID> Deletes the community settings configured for a certain ID. trap <ID>, <community>, <ip_addr> Sets the destination to notify a trap occurrence. Specify it with ID number of 1 to 8. (Up to eight communities are settable. ) Note: When one or more destinations are set, SNMP will restart automatically. If you don’t want to activate SNMP, delete all the preconfigured destinations. deltrap <ID> Deletes the trap settings configured for a certain ID. delcommunity CGI Syntax: http: //ip_adr/snmpdconf. cgi?
