Skill and Performance n n n Each attempt at a skill is a performance. The more skilful you are, the better your performance is likely to be. But it does not depend only on skill. It is also affected by other factors. If you are feeling nervous or tired, or the weather is too hot, your performance may suffer. Open skills depend on what’s around you, they are affected by more factors than closed skills are. For example the actions of your team-mates or opposition.
