Connecting Customers to your S/4 HANA EWM Warehouse My Supply Chain Group Challenge Conversational AI is the next step in the continual warehouse evolution. It has the ability to provide customers and employees of SAP Extended Warehouse Management to bring their own devices and native mobile applications with them and gain access to the operations of the warehouse. Customers are having issues tracking their orders being processed in an EWM managed Warehouse. ECommerce customers contact customer service checking status or changing their order and delivery. Customer service is calling the warehouse manager for these updates as they do not have access or knowledge of EWM. Solution Warehouse Assistant Chatbot with SAP Conversational AI to run queries and update orders that have been distributed to an EWM managed warehouse. This will provide the user with EWM specific execution details on their order, allow them to update the priority or cancel and change orders that are not currently be executed. Outcome Decreased phone calls and emails to the Warehouse Manager from Customer Service, increased productivity for all parties with shorter response times from Customer Service and direct communication with the warehouse leading to increased customer satisfaction. Business Challenges and Objectives SAP Extended Warehouse Management is an amazingly robust product that delivers the flexibility and agility to meet any customer requirements for warehousing. What makes EWM unique is also what makes it a challenge for cross process team to utilize. With EWM operations built specifically for warehousing, it differs from other modules, like SD, MM and PP, with warehouse specific terminology, uniquely formatted SAP transaction codes and core warehouse processes. The challenge our customers face on a daily basis is providing their cross teams the access and knowledge necessary to research the detailed status of their order in an EWM managed warehouse. This leads to decreased production because of a high amount of email and phone communications to the warehouse supervisors. The key objective of our project was to build a Chatbot leveraging SAP Conversational AI that enabled our customers to: § Remove email and phone communication between internal customers and the warehouse § Provide real time insights into the current and planned warehouse operations § Allow internal and external customers to change delivery relevant data for orders not in processing without accessing EWM § Provide a tool that customers can user on an internal Fiori launchpad or their own mobile device © 2019 SAP SE or an SAP affiliate company. Project or Use Case Details § Challenge: A company’s Customer Service group is having challenges tracking their orders being processed in an EWM managed Warehouse. Their E-Commerce customers are contacting the company to check on or change the delivery date for their order. The Customer Service group is not trained to operate EWM transactions and giving them access to EWM transactions could disrupt Warehouse operations. Currently, the only way to retrieve this information or being the process of changing data on an order distributed to EWM is by calling or emailing the Warehouse Manager and waiting for them to respond. § Solution: Provide the Customer Service group a Warehouse Assistant Chatbot with SAP Conversational AI to run queries and updated or cancel orders that have been distributed to an EWM managed warehouse. This will provide the user with EWM specific execution details on their order, allow them to update the priority or cancel and change orders that are not currently be executed. Furthermore, you can provide this same Chatbot to the E-Commerce customers to chat directly through the company Website with only access to check on their order status. § Outcome: Empowers the Customer Service group and E-Commerce customers to query their own orders, ultimately decreasing phone calls and emails to the Warehouse Manager from Customer Service, increasing productivity for all parties and increasing customer satisfaction with quick response times by Customer Service group and Wherehouse, The Warehouse Assistant Chatbot. © 2019 SAP SE or an SAP affiliate company.
