AIMS To: 1. promote research on music in Southeast Asia. 2. promote and facilitate research collaborations among SEADOM members in the different types and areas of research. 3. provide a database of co-researchers in respective areas of expertise. 4. provide a platform for the sharing of information on research in Southeast Asia.

Suggested activities for the year ahead: 2014 - 2015 1. Create a database of those interested in research collaborations and their respective areas of expertise. 2. Initiate collaborative research among SEADOM members which can fulfill the aims of SEADOM.

Additional Suggestions 1. SEADOM journal 2. Seminar/conference with SEADOM as the center; papers from the various sub-themes can be presented. 3. SEADOM website as a repository of information or to provide links to further information.
