Proclamation of 1763 Protest Project
Most Colonists protested the Proclamation of 1763 by simply ignoring it. Though the British were going to build many forts and have 10, 000 soldiers, they wouldn’t arrive right away. Because of this many Colonists crossed the line without anything happening to them.
• However, other Colonists protested the Proclamation openly, and it is thought that the Proclamation was the first “shot” in dividing the Colonies from England starting the Revolution. • Your job today is to take what you learned yesterday and become a Colonists yet again and PROTEST or SUPPORT the Proclamation of 1763. • You are by yourself on this project, • You will need a poster • On the poster you will draw a picture supporting your argument • You must also create a slogan that you use to back up your protest. • On the back: • 1 st paragraph: explain how you feel about the Proclamation of 1763.
