Preparing for Confession St. Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church Sunday School Grade 2
First, we pray and ask the Holy Spirit to help us find out what our sins are.
My Behaviour with God. . . Do I ever skip praying in the morning or before going to bed? Do I come to church every Sunday? Do I get there early or late?
My Behaviour with God. . . Do I take communion every time I come to church? Do I read the Bible and try to obey what God tells me to do?
My Behaviour with God. . . Do I try to help others: poor people, sick people, or people who are sad? Do I try to learn the songs of the church and try to memorize prayers?
My Behaviour with God. . . Do I pray for others? Do I think about things that are not nice or not good?
My Behaviour at home, at school, and with friends… �Do I do what mom & dad tell me to do (did I obey mom & dad)? �Did I do or say anything to my sister, brother, mom, or dad that was not very nice? �Was I mean to anyone? �Did I get angry and fight with anyone? �Did I argue with anyone or make fun of anyone? �Do I say bad words? �Did I say a lie to anyone?
My Behaviour at home, at school, and with friends… �Did I take something from someone that was not mine? �Did I make anyone do something bad and sin? �Do I hate anyone or feel angry towards anyone? �Did I say mean things about someone behind his/her back? �Did I ever try to blame someone for something I did wrong? �Was I “sneaky” with anything or did I cheat in any way (e. g. in school, or in any way)?
