PRESIDENT EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT • General supervision over the affairs of the chapter •

PRESIDENT EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT • General supervision over the affairs of the chapter • Directly manage Executive VP • Preside over chapter meetings & officer meetings • Represent the chapter at region and national levels • Assume responsibility for the chapter and its activities • Liaison between officer and advisor or region • Directly manage VP of Development, VP of Operations, VP of Communications, VP of Conference relations • Assist President in decision making • Monitor chapter activities and committee accomplishments • Be available to all officers and chapter members in need of assistance

VP are absence • Prepare a budget for each semester • Prepare budget summary at the end of each semester • Take charge of all receipts • Properly fill out and submit RSO funding • Assist in travel arrangements • Communicate with faculty advisor for additional funding and insurance • Obtain insurance/ other info from all conference attendees • File and Fill out ASG conference registration funding paperwork • Register SWE attendees who receive funding

VP COMMUNICATIONS VP OF OPERATIONS • Manage IT Manager, University Relations Specialist, Executive Secretary, and Marketing Specialist • Manage any Operations Specialist • Coordinate all publicity-related efforts • Ensure proper refreshments are provided at all events • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of all social media • Coordinate and oversee all events and related social gatherings • Ensure proper equipment and supplies are available at all events • Room reservations

 • Membership Manager – Track attendance, provide sign-in links/sheets at events, recruit national

• Membership Manager – Track attendance, provide sign-in links/sheets at events, recruit national members, coordinate membership drives, keep a record of members, faculty, and guest present at all events and activities • Product Development Manager – T-shirts, stickers, mugs, and other product design; in charge of transactions; maintain an inventory of SWE products; report all projected purchases to the VP of Development before purchasing is done • Operations Specialist – Report directly to the VP of Operations; setup each meetings by coordinating with VP of Operations and Membership Manager • Outreach Specialist – Organize community service events

D students; record proceedings of general membership meetings; oversee all social media; send out weekly updates; take photos of SWE activities; record attendance and proceedings of executive chapter meetings • IT Manager – Maintain, monitor, and update the chapter website; maintain and organize the SWE Officer Google Drive

REQUIREMENTS TO BE A SWE OFFICER • CUMMULATIVE GPA: 3. 0 – There is a process for exceptions (i. e. freshman that have not had many credit hours) • Be a full-time student (12 hours for undergraduate, 9 hours for graduate) – Exceptions for the last semester of degree completion, only hours need to graduate are necessary • Preferably no absence throughout the year due to Co-ops or Study Abroad • Read through University of Arkansas SWE Chapter Constitution • Attend Officer Meetings

ELECTION PROCESS • Fill out the officer application • General election within the chapter

ELECTION PROCESS • Fill out the officer application • General election within the chapter • Current leadership team will vote during an officer meeting – Point system, answers to application, resume • 50/50 weight between general election and leadership team decision – Protects against popularity votes on both the chapter end and leadership team end
