Classroom Policies Cubbies and Folders • Each child has a cubby labeled with his/her name. The cubby is used for storing your childs belongings. All items your child brings to school must fit in his/her cubby; personal items should not be placed on the floor. • Our Dolphin folder is a way for us to maintain communication. Please send all notes and money (labeled) via the Dolphin folder. These folders may contain notes from our school/class and other important items your child may have done during the day. Rest Time • We rest for approximately 1 hour each day. Lights are turned off and soft music is played. Each child has his/her own mat with their own crib sheet and a small blanket. Please leave all stuffed animals/pillow pets/etc at home.

Transportation • Pre-k car pool is from 1: 45 pm-2: 00 pm in the small parking lot on the side of the school next to the little playground. To make things run smoothy, please stay in your car and we will bring your child to the car. Once your child is in the car, please pull up to buckle him/her in. If you have not picked your child up by 2: 00 pm, he/she will be taken back to their classroom and will have to be signed out via the office. • Pre-k walkers will also be taken to the pre-k carpool line. • If your child rides a bus, daycare van, or goes to Boys and Girls Club, they will be released during regular dismissal. • If your child has a sibling that is picking him/her up from their pre-k classroom, they will do so during regular dismissal.

Clothes • Since we often get messy with our work and play, we suggest that children wear sturdy, washable play clothes to school. For safety reasons, we are suggesting that your child wear shoes with no laces. You don’t want your child playing with the laces that have touched everything, including the bathroom floor. Please have your child wear close toe shoes that fasten securely on the foot- no flip flops. Please leave an extra set of clothes labeled with your childs name in their book bag in case of an emergency.
