Not Made With Hands The Christian’s relationship with God

The Temple not made with hands • God does not dwell in temples made with hands • He did not dwell in idols’ temples. (Acts 17: 24) • Even His temple on earth could not contain Him (1 Kings 8: 27; Acts 7: 47 -50) • We now worship God in a temple/tabernacle not made with hands (Mark 14: 58; Hebrews 9: 11, 24; Eph. 2: 21 -22)
A Circumcision not made with hands • Physical circumcision was an important part of ancient covenants God made with man (Genesis 17: 10 -11; Leviticus 12: 3) • The new covenant is sealed with a circumcision not made with hands • It occurs in the heart, as one is buried in baptism (Colossians 2: 11 -12; Romans 2: 28 -29)
If we are in the kingdom, the temple, and the covenant which are of divine origin, spiritual in nature, and eternal, we will have an everlasting dwelling with God… “a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. ” (2 Corinthians 5: 1)
