This program will be designed to be inclusive of all students who have the desire and ability to participate in University Interscholastic League sports that promote individual team development. Uppermost in this excellence process will be student-athletes, the pursuit of Uppermostand in this process will be the pursuit of academic by all academic excellence all student-athletes, the development of good citizenship the development of goodbycitizenship traits…. traits, an encouragement and appreciation for competitive athletics, the promotion of good sportsmanship…. of good sportsmanship and an awareness of the importance of physical activity set in an atmosphere of mutual respect.

STUDENT-ATHLETE ACADEMIC SUCCESS 1. Doing your best both in and out of the classroom is the foundation of being a successful student-athlete Take pride in your work. Seek help when you do not understand. Do not play catch-up with your grades. Grades for 10 courses of the 16 core courses required for NCAA Division I & II Eligibility are locked in at the start of your seventh semester. The minimum core course GPA for D 1 is 2. 3.
