WHAT IS NAVIANCE? • Naviance is a web based program • Naviance will assist students in career and college planning • Naviance will electronically submit recommendation letter for teachers • Naviance will streamline the college application process for the counseling department • Naviance will replace our current system of the college application process

WHY CHANGE? • Aurora is one of the few schools left that hand mails each college application and transcript. • 250 students in a graduating class X 5 colleges selected to apply to X 1 transcript and one counselor recommendation letter and one completed application • Think of all of the paper, envelopes, and stamps! • Naviance will allow all of these components to be tracked online.

LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION • Students will request a letter of recommendation from you in person. • If you agree, the student will send you an electronic request through Naviance. • After writing the letter of recommendation, you will upload it to Naviance. • Mark your recommendation as “complete”

ACCESSING NAVIANCE • The login page can be accessed at https: //succeed. naviance. com/signin. php • An email will be send with your account name, username, and temporary password. • When you log in, you will see your “Teacher’s Desk” where you will manage incoming recommendation requests.
