Mist Demon The Mist Demon is one of the three “cloud” Demons, and by far the hardest to kill. Not only does the Mist Demon have the Shroud attack that all three “cloud” Demons share, it also has 45 Energy Points, 10 more than the average Demon. The Mist Demon requires 2 Powerups to deal any damage, however. Mist Demons have an odd tendency to run away after a fight is finished. Sometimes people spot the escaped Mist Demons and think they are ghosts. Runaway Mist Demons are harmless, though, since they need Powerups to deal any damage. A runaway Mist Demon will usually disappear after about three weeks. Mist Demon 2 reflex 1 hand 45 EP Physical Attacks Shroud: Prevents the next 10 damage done to the Mist Demon. This effect doesn’t stack. 1 reflex 0 hands 1 Water Powerup Air Spin: Deals 10 damage, and flip a coin. If heads, deals 20 more damage. 1 reflex 1 hand 2 Wind Powerups
Essential Mist Demons are the most “cloudlike” of any of the upgraded “cloud” Demons. It trades out the Shroud attack for Haze, which is the only way to block a Perfect Stun (unless it comes from a Weapon and you have an Obsidian Demon). Essential Mist Demons, like Standard Mist Demons, never touch their target when fighting, preferring to use the wind to fight. The eye and hands of an Essential Mist Demon slowly rotate, and people that watch an Essential Mist Demon for too long tend to get vertigo. Someone who looks at an Essential Mist Demon from the side, however, will notice a second eye behind the one in the front! The second eye does not spin, and it seems to be watching something that ordinary eyes can’t see. The Essential Mist Demon is one of the more recently discovered Demons, so an Ancient Mist Demon is probably a long ways away. Aqua Lance: Deals 15 damage, and flip a Special Attack: Any Mist Demon Hypercondensing 1 reflex 0 hands 1 Water Powerup Move this Demon to that slot. If the slot is full, move the occupying Demon to this Demon’s original slot. Weapons and Ammo do not move with the Demons, but Special Attacks do. This Demon can’t take the place of a demon holding a weapon that requires more hands than this Demon has. If this Demon has a weapon and moves to an empty slot, the weapon is dropped. Dissipate: Choose one of the slots on your hex. Special Attack: Steam, Mist, and Ash Demon Corporeal Transposition Specials All the “cloud” Demons can take advantage of a unique Special Attack called Corporeal Transposition, which is a fancy way of saying that it lets the Demon teleport. This teleportation doesn’t let the Demon bring along weapons, but it does let it switch places with a Demon already in play, allowing the Demons to trade weapons. Mist Demons have a Special Attack of their own called Hypercondensing, which lets a Mist Demon collapse a part of its body into tendrils of water. As with most attacks that Mist Demons use, it isn’t a very efficient way to deal damage, but it can be useful at times.
