Health and Social Care STARTS HERE………… Component 2 – Health and Social Care Services and Values Component 1 – Human Lifespan Development In this component you will study the different life stages that people pass through and how we grow and develop in each. You will also look at the expected and unexpected life events people will encounter as they progress through their lives. , such as starting school or having a serious accident or a disease. Component 3 – Health and Wellbeing In this component you will learn about the different factors that can affect an individuals health and wellbeing. You will then begin to recognise indicators of possible poor health and understand how to interpret health and lifestyle data. Finally, you will design a health and wellbeing improvement plan, including short and long-term targets. You will study the obstacles that individual’s may face when implementing such a plan. Component 1 – Human Lifespan Development - 30% 2 1 In this component you will learn about the wide range of health and social care services and the barriers that individuals may face trying to access them. You will also study the care values and learn how to adopt caring behaviours and practise putting these into action. You will then review your own practice and try to improve it. Component 2 – Health and Social Care Services and Values - 30% Finish Line Component 3 – Health and Wellbeing – Exam Unit - 40% 3 On completion of all 3 Units your final grade will be calculated and you will receive a Level 1/2 PASS/MERIT/DISTINCTION or DISTINCTION* grade. .
