Greetings! The profound women of Theta Chi Sigma Chapter welcome you to our Philo website. We are especially pleased that you have shown an interest in our family. To all of you, we extend the warmest of welcomes and sincere gratitude for having chose to visit with us. The Philos, which means “friend”, was established in 1954 and organized at the national level in 1980 during the Boule in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The Philos main fundraiser, the First Lady Pageant was nationalized the same year. Today, there are hundreds of dedicated, concerned and involved Philos throughout the United States who are assisting Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority with its many service and service oriented projects and programs. The Philos are currently focusing on recruitment, reactivation, and retention in the development of the affiliate; team building skills and leadership training for its members. These women are dedicated to serving humankind are not affiliated with any Greek-lettered organization. They are women of the highest caliber and extremely dependable, but do not possess a baccalaureate degree. Many hold prestigious positions in their communities with outstanding religious, educational, civic and social connections. The Philos colors are gold and white and their flower is a white carnation with a gold ribbon. While we are proud of our past, we are excited about our future. Theta Chi Sigma’s Philo club is always looking for professional women with a zeal and passion for community service.
