Biography • Germaine Mason was born on 20 th January, 1983 in Kingston, Jamaica. • His father is English and mother Jamaican, divorced. • He was brought up by his grandmother.

Career • Germaine Mason started at the age of 9 in primary school • A special affection for the sport he felt at a tender age.
Achievements: under Jamaican flag • In 2000 and 2002 he won silver and bronze medal at the World Junior Championships. • First gold medal came in 2003 at Pan American Games
• In 2006 his change in nationality was ratified by IAAF ( International Association of Athletics Federations ) and since then he could represent Great Britain.
Training • Germaine Mason is coached by legendary coach, Sue Humphrey, who also trained Chales Austin to an Olympic Gold Medal in the 1996 Games. • Nowadays he mostly lives in USA, because he is coached in Texas.
