Progression to Higher Education (HE) Ø By completing the course and achieving a full award at level 5/6 students may achieve a maximum of 390 CAO points to apply to most IOTs once they have satisfied the minimum entry requirements of the particular HEI. Students must check the relevant appropriate QQI qualifications required by using the www. cao. ie or www. qualifax. ie

Progression to Higher Education (HE) Students applying to Universities may have to satisfy particular module requirements such as grades and a number of distinctions (usually 5) for individual course requirements. Note; application requirements differ for University and IOT courses, check the above search tool on www. cao. ie for guidelines. Not all University courses accept QQI qualifications.

Progression to Higher Education (HE) from Level 6 Ø Upon completion of a level

Progression to Higher Education (HE) from Level 6 Ø Upon completion of a level 6 award students may who have achieved a full award may apply for entry into second year of relevant courses. This is by direct application to the relevant HEI. Ø Many students upon completion of level 5/6 awards may apply to the UK by applying online to www. ucas. com with help from qualified guidance personnel. Ø Once students are progressing onto a higher level of attainment on the NFQ, students will maintain their grant aided finance assistance.
