8 DAY NEW ZEALAND HIGHLIGHTS TOUR DAY 1: DEPARTURE FROM YOUR HOME ( Brisbane/Sydney/Melbourne) PORT—ARRIVE AUCKLAND (R) Welcome to Auckland! Our group will be met at the airport with transport waiting to take you to your hotel. Accommodation: President Hotel (1 night) DAY 2: AUCKLAND / BAY OF ISLANDS (B, D) Cross Auckland’s Harbour Bridge to drive north along the Hibiscus Coast. Continue to the west coast through the spectacular Waipoua Forest and visit Tane Mahuta, New Zealand’s largest known Kauri tree. On to Paihia in the Bay of Islands, the Birthplace of a Nation. Accommodation: Tanoa Paihia Hotel (2 nights). DAY 3: BAY OF ISLANDS (B, D) Cruise through the sheltered waters of the Bay of Islands on Dolphin Seeker. Enjoy the large outdoor viewing decks as we cruise past the islands of the Bay. Keep a look out for common and bottlenose dolphins, whales and other marine life as we get you up close to the action. Enjoy the views as you cruise past the Cape Brett Light-house, before arriving at the majestic Hole in the Rock – hold your breath as the skipper navigates through the nar-row space and admire the rock walls which soar above you. Take in the Grand Cathedral Cave before heading back into the sheltered waters of the Bay. DAY 4: BAY OF ISLANDS / AUCKLAND / COROMANDEL PENINSULA (B, D) Departing Paihia, journey south through Whangarei and Warkworth passing the satellite tracking station. Shortly Auckland city and Harbour come into view. Head south to the Coromandel Peninsula. Accommodation : Breakers Motel (2 nights)

DAY 5: COROMANDEL PENINSULA (B, D) Pristine beaches and sub-tropical forests dominate this beautiful peninsula. Discover the regions gold mining histo-ry and visit famous Hot Water Beach. Its name comes from underground hot springs which filter up through the sand between the high and low water tidal reaches. The beach is a popular destination both for locals and tourists visiting New Zealand. DAY 6: COROMANDEL PENINSULA / ROTORUA (B, D) On to Rotorua today where we visit the Agrodome for its famous Sheep Show. Explore Rainbow Springs Park, spotting Rainbow and Brown Trout plus native birds and animals. Accommodation : Sudima Hotel Lake Rotorua (1 night) DAY 7: ROTORUA / AUCKLAND (B, D) Cross the Mamaku Ranges to the Waikato region, noted for dairy farming and world famous horse studs. Travel north to reach Auckland. Accommodation : Sudima Auckland Airport (1 night) DAY 8: DEPART AUCKLAND (B) You will be transferred to Auckland International Airport for your return flight and return to your home port.
