Why is the Gap Analysis Important? • Sinception in FY 2014, the Gap Analysis has been an essential tool for systemwide planning and resource allocation. • Results from the Gap Analysis Tool have informed VA and federal partners on the current and future needs of homeless Veterans throughout the country. • Gap Analysis results are also frequently communicated to federal partners, Congress, and community partners. • Data from the Gap Analysis is utilized to determine program resource allocation. 2
