CCs) deposited on metal surface prior to organic topcoat (epoxy, polyester), are synthesized and characterized with the aim to obtain the novel coatings that will be able to retard the corrosion of metal substrate. It was shown that the structure of the obtained surface layers is considered to be a crucial factor in metal stability, and the determination of surface properties, i. e. the formation of a stable protective layer is, thus, critical in the design and engineering of new materials.
