Classroom Procedures • In the last 5 minutes of class RETURN your book to the bookcase…please put books on the appropriate shelf and neatly stack the books. • Every person should work consistently and should be able to turn-in at least three assignments each week…you should be able to do this much or more • If you are eager to complete the course, you need to complete a credit in about 10 -15 school days or 2 -3 weeks. • It is important to read text, complete all questions and projects required for the course.

Format for Class Work • Name, subject, date and credit # in the righthand margin • Chapter and page # in left-hand margin • Write out all Questions- either underline or highlight the questions • Stamp your work with the date stamp and turn in work together as one credit with the guide sheet on top as a cover sheet.

Classroom Rules • • Be in your seat read to start when the tardy bell rings. Respect others and all school property: Rudeness or disrespectful language will not be tolerated. We use academic and civil language in this classroom. Follow all classroom guidelines and school policies. No food at any time in class; No Drinks other than water at any time in class. No cell phones turned on in class/ if a cell phone goes off, it will be taken and returned through the office. IPODS, MP 3 players, or cell phone for music can only be used in class if: they do not distract you or anyone else form working…if this becomes a problem, you will not be able to use them in class and they will be taken from you and turned into the office.

Guide Sheet Information • • • You will be given a basic guide sheet for your content area. On the back of each guide sheet there will be a list of vocabulary words and terms. You will need to follow specific instructions for this section. I you do not follow the special guidelines for the vocabulary and terms as well as the assigned assignments – You will not receive full credit for work – May be asked to do work over – May not learn the important information needed to pass the class. There are projects built into most credits, students will need to complete these as part of the credit. See teacher for directions. For the Key Writing Prompt, you should prepare a draft prior to taking the credit test…you need to go over this essay with the teacher and discuss the answer…you will be given an opportunity to improve answers

Guide Sheet Information • • • Credit tests will include multiple choice questions based on Standards and the final copy of your key writing prompt. There may be additional rules as needed, but I want to treat you as adults as long as you behave appropriately. There will be assigned seating after all the schedule changes are complete. There will be a set of guidelines for computer etiquette; we will go over this together. Final thought: Please be ready to participate in all classroom assignments, projects, and other activities.
