Dividing Fractions What does this mean? We use division when we want to see how many fit into something else. Example: If we have 12 4, we want to see how many groups of 4 can fit into 12. Does this sound fimilar?

Change the division sign to multiplication, and change the second fraction to it’s reciprocal. 4. Solve the multiplication expression.

What is a reciprocal? It is when you multiply two numbers together and get 1 as your answer.
