My Digital Footprint 1 • I went online last night and Googled my name, the only thing that showed up was just my Instagram account and two playlists on You. Tube. Some other stuff I had found was some of my relatives because they have the same last name as I do. I also found a weird website called Photobucket that has a random picture of a monkey. It was super weird because the name written was Lukas Kozjan, almost exactly like my name but with the "L" in my last name missing. I was super freaked out because I had never seen that photo or site ever so there must be someone out there with a name very close to mine. Your footprint can cause a lot of issues for your future and can become dangerous when you are looking for a higher education or a better job as future teachers and employers will look up your footprint to get a better understanding of who they are accepting in school or the workplace. • It will affect your job prospects because some jobs you apply to actually look up your name and search what type of person you are and what you like to do in your spare time. A digital footprint can affect your future and educational opportunities by what you do online. They can find what you've been up to online and also can search up your name and they can find out what kind of stuff you enjoy offline weather you party or you like traveling. • It's important to be aware of your footprint because it can determine your habits online and who you may be offline. When you're looking for your footprint it can be relatively easy if you are big online.

My Digital Footprint 2 • Strategy 1 - Never share your full name or personal information like your home address because it can be dangerous, because strangers or burglars could find out where you live. Only include maybe your first name only to keep from getting in trouble online by people being able to trace posts back to you. • Strategy 2 - Don't post personal pictures of yourself or others without permission your friends. It would be very negative to post personal pictures of yourself when they go public. There can also be an issue with people selling your goods online for money. • Strategy 3 - Keep your passwords to your self and a secret also to avoid saying them out loud. As well, be careful not to stay signed in as someone may logon to your computer and see a password. Then they look at it and then they have your email and can be using your email to get into places with a fake ID.

Digital Permanence • Digital Permanence is a way of making digital storage techniques to keep your online data in a safe spot on the web. It keeps your data in a timeline to tell the ways things have been working on your account history. From the day you create an account to the day you don't use that account anymore the system will have saved your actions on the online world from looking at dogs to buying a new car. You should be careful with this concept because the online world saves everything you do. In the event something happens online you are able to look back in your history and gather evidence to claim yourself not guilty for your issue. When telling this to kids or grandparents I would give an example such as, when you send a new email, that day is when you start your permanence, like right now I am writing this, and it is going into a special safe area. In the event you get in trouble within the web, the head of the online world can use your info to judge you. It is extremely important to keep it clean and you won't have to worry about your activity online.
