Grading Policy v Final grades computed based on 100 points: – 25 points: Assignments (and maybe Quizzes) – 35 points: Exams (Midterm: 15 pts, Final: 20 pts) – 10 points: Research Presentation – 30 points: Group Project (Report, Presentation, and Demonstration) CS 542: Database Management Systems 5
Project Grading the difficulty of the project you have chosen v solution approach, design and implementation v the oral project presentation v the written documentation of your project in the form of a report v successful completion of your intended (even if later modified) project goals v the demonstration of your system (including successful example runs) v the understanding of each team member of his or her part of the project, as well as of the overall group product. v CS 542: Database Management Systems 6
Cheating and Late Policy v NO CHEATING! – All work is to be done on an individual basis. – No violation of the WPI's guidelines for academic integrity. v Late Penalty – Turned in within the first 24 hours after the due date: subtracting 20% of the total achievable points of that deliverable – Between 24 to 48 hours late: reduction of 50% of the total achievable points. – Certain deliverables may not have ANY LATE day, as announced.
