Joomla installation package come as a. zip file similar to <Joomla_3. 9. 5 -Stable-Full_Package. zip>. It contains all the files you’ll need to install Joomla. You need to uncompress the. zip file. Move the folder with uncompressed files to c: xampphtdocs and rename it as colombo. c: xampphtdocscolombo

JOOMLA SITE CONFIGURATION 1. Open your web browser. 2. Type http: //localhost/colombo in Address Bar. 3. Press Enter. Main Configuration Page appears

Main Configuration Type Site Name : Colombo Description : A great place to visit Email : <your email address> Username : admin Password : 12345 Confirm Password : 12345 Click on Next

Database Configuration Type Username : root Database Name : colombo Click on Next

Finalisation Make sure Install Sample Data - None Click on Install

Click on Remove “installation” folder

Click on Administrato r

Click on Never

Go to “System” pull-down menu and select “Global Configuration”

Click on “System” tab. Set “Session Lifetime” to 360. Click on “Save & Close”

Click on “Colombo” on top right corner to view the website.
