Compare v. SHOWS what is the same about two or more things.

Oranges and Bananas ØYou eat both of them. ØThey are both fruits. ØYou have to peel both of them.

Contrast v. SHOWS what is different about two or more things.

Oranges and Bananas ØOranges are orange. Bananas are yellow. ØOranges are round. Bananas are long. ØOranges have seeds. Bananas don’t have seeds.
