Vol LVR 1 Place sample container (must be 1 liter) in chiller for at least 30 minutes prior to beginning test. IMPORTANT: Test must be performed on first test specimen withdrawn from the sample container. 2 Remove sample from bath and wipe container dry. Verify that the container is 70 -80% full: 3 4 Remove sample cap momentarily, reseal and return to chiller. 5 With sample again at 32 -34°F (0 -1°C), remove container from cold bath and wipe dry. 6 Remove cap, reseal and shake sample vigorously before returning to chiller for a minimum of 2 minutes. 7 Press RUN on the analyzer to start heating sample chamber to 167°F. 8 Turn on vacuum pump to evacuate sample chamber (pump has no power switch – plug in to start). 9 Verify chamber pressure is ≤ 0. 1 k. Pa (0. 01 psi). 10 Remove chilled syringe and n-pentane bottle from cold bath. NOTE: Time between opening sample container and securing syringe into analyzer must not exceed 1 minute. 11 Dry container and insert chilled syringe into sample drawing a 4 ml bubble free aliquot into syringe barrell.
