ASSOCIATION „EDUCATION THROUGHOUT LIFE” PRESENTATION Association "Education throughout life" was established in 2005, as nonprofit organization with character non-governmental, politically uncommitted. The decrease population in Romania between 1999 -2005, from 22, 5 to 21, 7 million, throug negative natural increase and migration of young people and increasing "pressure" aging population of 13. 00% to 14. 70% behind the achievement Association "Education throughout life”. Purpose: to organize, coordinate and conduct of adult education activities, regardless of age, sex, religion, ethnicity, social status of adult, adults with disabilities. PRESENTATION • Flexible labor to adaptation rapid changes of socio economic environment; • Improvement quality of life by implementing programs: IT communication, education, popular education, environmental education and promotion of culture; • Adapting personal needs of adults to community requirements; • Keeping social stability through educational measures to (re) training and employment (quality, quantity, regardless of age, sex, ethnicity, disability or religious beliefs), entrepreneurship education, promoting environmental education; • Development of partnerships between supplier’s adult vocational training with businesses, unions, local authorities, universities to promote adaptability and employment, promoting social inclusion of groups at high risk of exclusion from the labor market. ROLE ASSOCIATION „EDUCATION THROUGHOUT LIFE” • • Organizing and conducting a course of initiation IT for adults 50 + (course consists of 3 modules: formation skills IT for communication, purchase knowledge to access databases internet, use internet for problems administrative - economic / online payment); Develop of course support; Organization and deployment of mobility; Development, implementation and interpretation of questionnaires; Making a research the impact educational programs for adults; Participation to seminars and conferences; Participation to international seminar and to achievement summary of project; Dissemination of results and ensuring sustainable. City Bumbeşti – Jiu face with economic problems and the aging process of the population. Local Council support educational activities for adults. • Ended an agreement of collaboration with Colleage „Mihai Viteazul” in Bumbeşti - Jiu. College " Mihai Viteazul" in Bumbeşti – Jiu will provide Association " Education throughout life " a computer lab for initiation course IT for target group Awake project, adults 50+. Were developed and distributed leaflets promoting the project Awake. Leaflets were distributed in localities Bumbeşti-Jiu and Tg-Jiu. ACTIVITIES AWAKE 01. 08. 2011 – 31. 12. 2012 • • • Were developed, applied and interpreted questionnaires to identify education needs of the target group: 30% (6 adults 50 +) have a computer home connected to the Internet; 50% (10 adults 50 +) want and opportunities to acquire a computer and to connect to the internet; 15% (3 adults 50 +) were reduced computer knowledge; 85% (17 adults 50 +) have no computer knowledge; 5% (1 adult 50 +) know to find information via the internet; 0% paid online an invoice; 77. 50% (15 adults 50 +) have relatives or friends abroad; 100% of those who have relatives or friends abroad communicate only by telephone; 100% of those who have relatives or friends abroad do not have email address; 9 adults 50 + have relatives or friends in Italy; 6 adults 50 + have relatives or friends in Spain; 30% (6 adults 50 +) wishing to participate in mobility.
