The Followers Most zulu followers state their beliefs as Christian. Zulu religion includes belief of one God who is above interacting in day-to-day life. Traditionally the zulu people recognize several elements, the physical body, the breath or life force, and the shadow or personality.
Anything sacred At the bottom of a waterfall they will talk to the earth spirit that lives there and is known in Zulu tradition as a Makhosi. Inkanyamba which is a type of serpent spirit which is both guardian and ancestral protector of the land sacred site
The Story of the Zulu myth The Zulu myth on their creation is as follows: The Ancient One, known as Unkulu, is the Zulu creator. He came from the reeds (anga, means source) and from them he brought forth the people and the cattle. He created everything that is: mountains, streams, all creatures wild and domestic. He taught the Zulu how to hunt, how to make fire, and how to grow food. He is considered to be the First Man, and is in everything, that he created.
