ACHIEVEMENTS New natural science information Climatic modeling, indicators of change, scenarios (L’Héveder et al. , 2016) Importance of oceanic inputs to coastal ecosystem funtioning (Raimonet and Cloern, 2016) Snapshot of the SST on 18 th June 2003 from Ifremer satellite-derived data – L’Héveder et al. , 2016
ACHIEVEMENTS New natural science information Climatic modeling, indicators of change, scenarios (L’Héveder et al. , 2016) Importance of oceanic inputs to coastal ecosystem funtioning (Raimonet and Cloern, 2016) Implications for Modeling the land-ocean continuum in the Bay of Brest, understanding of ecosystem functioning – climate change scenarios Future joint work with professionals of agriculture, aquaculture and fisheries, co-construction of scenarios towards sustainability Structuring effects within theme 2 of ZABr. I, involvement of geographers, sociologist, economists in a collective researcher with watershed managers Analysis of difficulties, cf Brest site for task 3 paper sent to Jean-Paul
ACHIEVEMENTS New human sciences information Ethnology and socio-history: Study of past adaptations of fishermen to institutional, environmental and technical changes (Danto et al. , in prep, a, b) Political science: Role of local institutions (e. g. MPA) versus national authorities (e. g. Préfet maritime) in the decision making process (Mazé et al. , 2017) Science studies: the Bay of Brest, 50 years of evolution, of interdisciplinary knowledge construction and key questions at the science-policy interface (Ragueneau et al. , to be sumitted)

I area, especially concerning fishermen adaptation, science-communities interactions and science-policy context Stimulation of NS and HS interactions with structuring effects for the ZABr. I, the axis 8 of Labex. Mer and a transversal axis of our lab (so difficult !) (ARTISTICC at the heart of these new boundary settings: e. g. SEMER project) Brest and Tiksi as first « terrains » for Apoli. Mer (political anthropology of the sea) at the sciencepolicy interface
ACHIEVEMENTS Art and science interactions One year of discussions within this other « collective researcher » , Théatre du Grain and LEMAR One year of « Côte à Côte » , with 5 hybrid forms presented to the public during the « Anthroposcène » festival (June 2016) A final week (April 2017) to analyze the process, and production of a documentary (S. Durand), see later this week, talk by Lionel and presentation of the movie

Personal implication, engagement Political dimension of our reseach Stimulation of other « art and science » activities within IUEM and Labex. Mer (e. g. LEP at Ifremer and Théatre Piba)
ACHIEVEMENTS Sustainability science 2 collective researchers with NS, HS and non-academic partners, more or less successful, raising key questions (at least for us) about interdisciplinarity, transdisciplinarity, the sciencepolicy interface, our role of scientists in societal debates etc… A 3 -months « sustainability road trip » to visit sustainability centers in the west US and Canada Bench marking with the idea of creating a marine sustainability center in Brest 70 interviews, research questions in relation to task 2 : - Their practices of interdisciplinarity - Their practices at the interface with communities - The way they envision the role of scientists in society - They way the envision the role of their university in their territory - And more discussions on: - Training: depth versus breadth - Research: fundamental versus applied - …
