Installation Steps l l Mobile Driver / Software (Sony Ericsson PC Suite software) Installation of Ziac. SMS Vodafone application

Installation of Mobile Driver / Software l l Do not connect the mobile or the USB cable Boot up the system Insert mobile installation CD The software will start automatically and follow the onscreen instructions

Installation of Sony Ericsson PC Suite software example

Click on install under PC Suite


Click on Next

Select I Accept and click on Next

Select Complete and Click on Next

Click on Install

Click on Launch and Click Finish

Click on Close

Click on OK

Click on Next

Select USB and click on Next

l Switch on The Mobile Phone. Make sure the phone is fully charged l Check system date / time and Connect the Sony Ericsson Mobile to the PC using the USB Cable l Always connect the mobile to the same USB Port on the system

Select Phone Mode on the mobile


l Click on Next

Click on Finish

• Click on “Yes” and Select Everytime • Click on OK

Click on OK

l l Close the PC Suite Software Screen The PC Suite Software will be running in the system tray

Steps to Check COM Port for the Mobile Device Connected Click on Start -> Control Panel

Double Click on Phone and Modem Options

l Click on Modems

The com port associated with your mobile device is shown in the list

Installation of Ziac. SMS Vodafone application

l Locate the file Ziac. SMS_Vodafone_install. exe in the CD l Double click on the file Ziac. SMS_Vodafone_Install. Exe

Accept the License Agreement and click on Next

Enter the User Name and Organization Name and click on Next

To change the default destination of installation click on “Change” and select the folder, Else click on Next

Click on Install

The Installation will continue

Click on Finish to complete the installation

Update using Live Update • Close All software • Connect to Internet • Browse to C: program filesziacsms vodafone • Double click on Live Update

Opening Ziac. SMS Vodafone Application l l Close all open applications including Microsoft Excel Select Start – Program Files – Ziac. SMS Vodafone application OR Double Click on the Ziac. SMS Icon on the desktop to open Ziac. SMS Vodafone application

Entering License Key l Enter the License Key in the Box and Click on OK

Please enter the password (a new password needs to be created for the first time)

Initial Settings l Make sure the proper COM port is selected l To change the com port for the mobile device connected, click on the “? ” button next to the com port box and select the port from the drop down

l Switch on the mobile phone, do not open any other mobile phone applications l Close all open applications in the system l Connect the mobile phone to the system l Open Ziac. SMS Vodafone l Vodafone Activations will start automatically The activation count in the screen will start changing accordingly l Starting Vodafone Activations

Minimizing and Maximizing Ziac. SMS Vodafone

Minimize the software while the activation process is going on. l Right click on Ziac SMS Vodafone icon on Task Bar and select Minimize Option.

To maximize the software right click on Ziac SMS Vodafone icon on Task Bar and select Restore Options

Blocking Activations from Retailers

Click on Options button in the main screen

From the drop down of DATA select “RETAILERS” and click on GO

Click on Load

Select the proper retailer in the above screen and click on cell under the column Blocked to make it YES l Click on Save at the bottom to save the changes l Now the particular retailer is blocked and all the activation requests from that retailer will be blocked l

Select the activated number Click on enter, the number will be highlighted After doing all the scanning click on save.

Reactivating a particular number

Click on Options button in the main screen From the drop down of DATA select “Requests” and click on GO. It lists out all activation request data with the status

Select the proper Mobile Number in the above screen and click on cell under the column Sent to make it NO. It will send the Reactivation request

Generating Reports To take the various reports click on Reports Option. These reports will be exported to Excel

One can select the type of the report from the report type and from - to dates can be entered here.

SMS application. l Make sure only one instance of Ziac. SMS is opened. l Do not make / receive calls while the mobile is connected to the system l Never send any manually typed SMS from this mobile while the activation software is running
