Where are we? Our school is in Zawiercie, in the oldest of Zawiercie districts – Kromołów, located on 9 Filaretów Street. The city is in the north part of the Silesian Voivodship

The Location of Kromołów The Warta River has its source in Kromołów, on The Kraków. Częstochowa Upland. There is a lot of limestone here.

Around our school Our school is yellow and orange. There is a narrow path around it. We often use it, for example during warm-ups on our PE lessons, or during the breaks. The area is covered with grass, there also a lot of trees and bushes.

Students There about five hundred students and about forty teachers in our school. There are four kindergarden groups, six primary school classes and three gimazjum classes in our school.

Extra classes We have a lot of extra classes: • European club • Computer club • Choir • Sport classes

European class We work on laptops and improve our English skills. There about 10 laptops and an interactive board.

Computer class There are two computer classrooms in our school. We improve our knowledge and skills. We also learn some interesting facts. The time we spend in our computer classrooms is fantastic!

Choir Mr Foryś takes care of the choir. Students aged 10 -16 improve their vocal skills. The school choir sings songs at all the school celebrations!

Sport class There are volleyball classes for students who are interested in sport. Mr Bubel takes care of girls and Mrs Benc takes care of boys.

International projects Our school took part in some international projects: • With England • With Spain • With France

Equipment of the school There are four interactive boards, about twenty computers and ten laptops, some musical instruments(guitars, keyboards, percussion), a storage for bicycles, a playground and three courts.

School courts and playground We have one small concrete court, two big courts, four baskets for basketball, and a beach volleyball court. The playground is a place which children love. All students like spending time there.

Academies On special days (e. g. the Independence Day, at the beginning and at the end of each school year, on Teacher’s Day, on Regional Day) we have school academies. The students may show their acting skills.

„Salad Day” has been organised in our school for several years. It is possible thanks to the cooperation of parents, students, our school nurse, Mrs Ewa Czarnojańczyk and Mrs Agata Woźniak. Everybody can taste various salads brought by students.

Regional Day On Regional Day we have an academy during which scenes from different cabarets as well as texts in foreign languages are presented. They sometimes help us understand other people’s languages.

Women’s Day and Boy’s Day! There are two more special days in our school: Women’s Day (celebrated on 8 th March) and Boy’s Day (on 30 th September). All women and men in our school get presents and best wishes.

St. Valentine’s Day St Valentine’s Day is celebrated on 14 th February. The cards and presents sent by students through the school’s „Valentine Post” are given to right people on the special day in our gym.
