SESSION 01 INITIAL CONTACT 01 02 03 04 Coordinator & associate introduce themselves Self introduction of students – Activity Interaction with students - what do the students understand & expect from YLP? Coordinator explains the Program 09 MOM shared in the group 05 Workbooks are distributed 06 Students will enter their remarks on page 5, ‘How do you stand as the speaker? ’ 07 Icebreaker speech is explained 08 Ice breaker speech speakers names are noted.
SESSION 02 INTRODUCTION TO PUBLIC SPEAKING 01 Associate Coordinator opens the meeting as SAA and introduces the GE 06 GE invites the feedback from the rest of the students. 02 GE explains the meeting procedure ; introduces Asst. Coordinator as Timer 07 GE gives the feedback 03 GE explains evaluation - Activity 08 The Associate explains the roles of SAA, Evaluator, Time 04 GE introduces the Timer (Asst. Coordinator} 09 GE explains Table Topics and gives a demo along with the Associate 05 GE Introduces Speakers 10 MOM with role takers (SAA, Evaluators, Timer) and speakers and the agenda for the next meeting
SESSION 03 IMPROMPTU SPEAKING 01 SAA (YLPien) opens the meeting 06 GE feedback 02 MC (Coordinator or Associate) introduces GE 07 Coordinator explains “Organizing your speech” 03 Icebreaker speech 08 Associate explains the roles of Grammarian and Ah counter 04 TTM (Associate) conducts Table Topics session 09 YLPiens will volunteer for speakers, evaluators, SAA, Timer, Ah Counter, Grammarian and TTM 05 Evaluation by YLPiens 10 MOM with role takers (SAA, Evaluators, Timer) and speakers and the agenda for the next meeting
SESSION 04 ORGANISING YOUR SPEECH 01 SAA (YLPien) opens the meeting 06 Associate explains the role of MC 02 Inroduces the MC (coordinator/associate) 07 Coordinator introduces Debate and explains it. 03 MC introduces GE (Coordinator or Associate) 08 04 Icebreaker speeches 09 Names for SAA, MC, speakers, evaluators, TTM, Debate Maste timer, ah counter & grammarian are taken ( New roles explained in the group) 05 TTM (YLPien) conducts Table Topics session 10 MOM & the agenda for the next session are shared Coordinator interacts with the YLPiens regarding their strengths, weakness, and improvements.
SESSION 05 LISTENING 01 SAA opens the meeting 05 Debate session 02 MC Introduces GE (coordinator/associate) 06 Evaluation session 03 Ice breaker speech (2 to 3 minutes) or Prepared speeches ( 3 to 4 minutes) 07 GE gives the feedback 04 Table Topics session 08 Coordinator explains body language 09 Names of the speakers & the role taken; explanation of body language; next meeting agenda and MOM are shared in the group
SESSION 06 GESTURES IN SPEAKING 01 Regular session with speeches, Table Topics session, debate & evaluation 02 Educational session on Vocal variety 7 th session would be the practice session for the finale. 1. Speakers – 3 /4 2. MC 3. TTM 4. Debate Master 5. Timer – 2 6. Table Topic Speakers & Debaters 7. All the information are shared in the group 8. MOM shared 03 Coordinator takes down the names for the 8 th session (finale)
SESSION 07 PRACTICE SESSION The session will be a complete run through for the 8 th session finale. 01 02 The coordinator & the associate appreciate/ correct/encourage the YLPiens The Invite and the agenda with the role takers names should be mailed to the school management, parents and also should be shared in the group. 03 YLP completion certificates and Coordinator/Associate coordinator certificates should be ready. 04 An invite should be sent to PQD, YLP Counselor, Division Director, Area Director and the Sponsoring Club President.
SESSION 08 THE FINALE 01 YLPiens showcase the skills they have learnt and receive Youth Leadership Program completion Certificates. 02 Coordinator and the associate will receive their certificates. 03 Feedback from the YLPiens, parents and School Authority
