Pathways • Students access our curriculum provision through a personalised timetable within their ‘pathway’. • We currently have four learning pathways which are differentiated through the qualifications we offer and the delivery of lessons. • The curriculum aims to promote as much independence as possible through the different curriculum areas

I am supported by family at home. I can make choices. I am in year 13 I am aware of others around me. I have a social worker. I can use gestures. Pathway 1 I use a wheelchair I sometimes use symbols to communicate I am supported by staff at college. I have Cerebral Palsy.

Pathway 2 I am strong minded I have Downs Syndrome I can communicate verbally and I often get animated I need help in college to stay on task. I am supported by my dad at home.

Pathway 3 I can walk independently. I can communicate verbally but I have a stammer. I have a social worker. . I have moderate learning difficulties I am in year 13

Qualification structure • All qualifications are taken from Open Awards and AQA. • This allows achievements through ‘stepping stones’ of learning. All qualifications are made up of individual units – this gives learners more choice. • Learners achieve ‘credits’ for each unit they complete.

Careers in action

• At Mill Green and Lansbury Bridge we promote Careers educations through a variety of lessons. We are building our skills for the future everyday. - Personal Development (Life skills, Religious Education) - Enterprise - Vocational options - World of Work In fact we are building our skills and qualities all the time… we just do not think about putting it in to our futures case.
