Feedback from EDUCAUSE 2017 Meeting ● Members wanted the Young Professionals CG to create more opportunities for networking ● This could be formal or informal in nature ● Members wanted the Young Professionals CG to create more opportunities for mentoring ● Emphasis on peer-based and/or micro mentoring
Community Group Work in 2018 ● Highlighted work of younger professionals in over 50 EDUCAUSE activities throughout 2018. ● Webinars, presentations, publications, committee work, et cetera ● Worked with EDUCAUSE to facilitate more networking opportunities ● Multiple “Meet and Mingle” sessions, receptions, and Braindating ● Partnered with other community groups for content ● ITWOMEN and ITSM for “Small Change is Big Change” Webinar ● Partnered to create and pilot a peer-based mentoring program ● Young Professionals Community Group is part of the pilot program
