Behaviour Rewards Class Dojo https: //www. classdojo. com/en-gb/? redirect=true Children are awarded Dojos – we will be sending the parental login information for Class Dojo home with the children. Class with the most dojos are the class of the week across KS 1. Rainbow, sun, cloud and rain - All children start each day with their name on the sun –for ‘wow’ work and/or behaviour the children will be moved to the rainbow. If a child receives a ‘warning’ their name is moved to the cloud, if a second warning is needed, their name is moved to the rain cloud. Children who have ended the week on the sun receive dojo points; those who have made it to the rainbow receive extra dojo points. All children have the opportunity to work their way back from ‘warnings’.
Safeguarding Children to meet in allocated zones. All communication with staff needs to be remote. Please contact us via email or the office email using the school address. Dojo can be used for quick non confidential messages. Late children must enter school via the main office. Children will be collected from their allocated zones.
Reading books will be held in the class bubbles. Children will be encouraged to change their books independently, a daily opportunity given. Please indicate when you read with your child (writing in their reading record book). Each child will engage in Weekly class reading, reciprocal reading and one to one reading. Reading books and reading records in school daily, for additional reading. Please read as often as possible, ideally daily, little and often. Miscue analysis is used to assess and adjust reading bands, we aim to carry these out approximately every 6 weeks or sooner if we feel it is appropriate. Library books will be held in class bubbles. Children will be allocated library books. These will be changed on weekly basis.
Phonics All children will have a daily 20 minute session. Further intervention groups will be used where appropriate for consolidation of past learning Phonics Screen (June 2021) week commencing 14 th June 40 real and pseudo (alien) words Further information about the phonics screen is available on the school web site Phonics spell check – words to be sent home via class dojo on a Friday for check the following Friday By the end of the year children are expected to be able to read and write the Year One Common Exception Words (link to common exception words https: //monsterphonics. com/flashcards-2/ )
Minute Maths/Mathletics Weekly minute maths session to develop recall of basic number facts Rapid recall (1 minute) Everyone starts with addition facts to 5 Children progress at different rates Children work to improve their own score week by week Regular home practice would be helpful Mathletics

PE Outdoor track suit, t-shirt and trainers Everything must be clearly labelled Children need to take responsibility for their own belongings Earrings must be removed or taped Kits stay in school and are sent home after the last session of the half term
Communication Book bags are not checked by us. Children are given letters to bring home and encouraged to put in their book bags – however the most efficient method of communication is the Parent. Mail system. Parent mail system. Information regarding attendance, appointments etc needs to go straight to the administration team at the office.
