Where will my GCSEs lead me? §Your aim is to achieve at least 5 GCSE Level 4 (5) or above including English and Maths. §To study A Levels at 6 th Form or college you must achieve Level (4/5) and above in 5 or more subjects. Some Level 6 or higher are required for Maths, Science and Humanities A Level subjects. §There are other pathways out there, such as BTECs, T Levels and Apprenticeships that can all lead to university and the world of work. You will find out more about these in Careers Week and Years 10 & 11.
COLA Highgate Hill 6 th Form §The new Cola Highgate Hill 6 th Form block will have been open for a year by the time you come to make your post-16 choices in Year 11. §Our expectations will be very high and the grades you will need to achieve at GCSE in order to join our new 6 th Form will be ASPIRATIONAL.
Ebacc – English Baccalaureate The EBacc is a set of subjects at GCSE that keeps young people’s options open for further study and future careers and is awarded to any pupils who achieve (4/5 -9) in the following subjects: • • English Language and Literature Maths 2 Sciences (Combined Science) or Triple Science A modern or ancient foreign language (French, Spanish Or GCSE Heritage Language) • A humanity (History or Geography)
