Component 3 ◦ Component 3 is an external part of your BTEC award that you will do at the end of year 11. ◦ You will be doing a Mock of this component to become familiar with its content ready for your course. ◦ It is important that you follow the instructions and complete all tasks to the best of your ability. ◦ Doing this will provide you with essential skills to complete your BTEC successfully. ◦ Work through the activities step by step writing up your work in either a power point or a word document. ◦ You must email your work to me by 3. 15 pm. ◦ If you have any issues, please email me directly that day!

RECAP! ◦ We explored how you will DEVELOP your skills. ◦ We looked at how you can use your skills in relation to the brief. ◦ We wrote up our skills for SET TASK 2. Your doing a great job! Always remember to do a short DESCRIPTION of what you are talking about, ANALYSE why you are doing it and EVALUATE at the end!

Record your work 30 mins Write up your performance (Like a script) Include; ◦ Setting ◦ Set and props ◦ Dialogue ◦ Stage directions (Including any physical or vocal skills of importance) (Remember looking at scripts and writing them up for ‘The boy in the Striped Pyjamas’)

Explore your work ◦ Continue to explore your character (5 W’s – who what where when why –) ◦ Write up any research you have (ensure you copy the link of where you got it from or write the name of the book). Rehearse your performance - Is there someone who can watch? - Ask them to tell you WWW – what went well – your skills, the story, voice, physical skills, use of props EBI – even better if – how could you make it more engaging? What will you work on for your final performance next week? 40 mins
