Year 9 Interdisciplinary Week Interdisciplinary Learning enables students to use the knowledge they have gained in a number of subjects to solve complex, multidimensional problems. It promotes mental flexibility and intellectual rigour and models the importance of collaboration and teamwork. We also believe that all students should experience the world beyond the classroom as an essential part of learning and personal development. To this end, we have designed a week of learning exploring Our Common Humanity through the Global Context of Fairness and Development. Students will explore personal roles and responsibilities within small communities whilst camping in Ashdown Forest, where they will need to share finite resources and use democracy to work as a team. When not at camp, students will widen their view to communities across the globe exploring how languages and music enable us to better understand each other. Letters will be available in due course. For more information please contact: Miss White, Mr. Haywood or Mrs. Lawrence
