Poor reasons to choose a subject… I like the teacher They might not be your teacher in Year 9. Successful students have good relationships with all their teachers. I think it will be easy No subject is easy! Pick a subject which is going to motivate you to work hard. My parents want me to take this subject The broad range of compulsory subjects means that everyone is equipped to go on to do almost anything! My friends are taking this subject You need to study what is right for YOU so that you have the motivation to work hard.
Making Indicative Choices • We need to have some idea of the number of students choosing different subjects • This enables teachers to begin to plan for next year in terms of the curriculum and staffing. • You will be asked for your indicative choices – i. e. What you think you will choose. • This will be in tutor time this week. These choices are NOT binding. Your final choices might be different.
